SUMMARY:📢 STEM WEEK 2026 | iSTEM English Medium School
DESCRIPTION:🚀 Don’t Just Make a Model. Solve a Problem. \nSomething exciting is coming to iSTEM! \nSTEM WEEK 2026 is an opportunity for our students to step beyond textbooks and classrooms\, explore real-life challenges\, think creatively\, design solutions\, build prototypes\, test their ideas\, learn from mistakes and improve their work. \n📅 20 – 26 September 2026 \nThis STEM Week\, we want our students to discover that STEM is not simply about making an attractive model. \nIt is about thinking\, questioning\, experimenting\, creating and solving. \n🔬 What will students experience? \nDuring STEM Week\, students will be encouraged to: \n💡 Identify a real-life problem or challenge\n🧠 Think critically and explore possible solutions\n🔎 Research and investigate\n📐 Design their own ideas\n🛠️ Build a prototype or working model\n🧪 Test whether their solution works\n🔄 Identify weaknesses and improve their design\n🤝 Work collaboratively as a team\n🎤 Explain their idea and learning in their own words \nThe journey is as important as the final project. \n🌱 From IDEA to INNOVATION \nIdentify a Problem → Think → Design → Make → Test → Improve → Present \nThis is the spirit of STEM Week. \nStudents are encouraged to create original ideas based on genuine problems\, rather than simply copying projects from YouTube\, Facebook or the internet. \nA simple project that solves a real problem and is truly understood by a student can be far more meaningful than a large and attractive model that they cannot explain. \n👨‍👩‍👧 A special invitation to our students \nDear Students\, \nThis is your opportunity to ask: \n“What problem can I solve?” \nLook around you. \nThink about problems you see at home\, at school\, in your community or in everyday life. \nAsk questions.\nShare ideas.\nTry different solutions.\nBuild something.\nTest it.\nMake mistakes.\nLearn from them.\nImprove your design.\nAnd proudly explain what YOU created and why it works. \nYour project does not have to be the biggest. \nIt does not have to be the most expensive. \nIt does not have to look perfect. \nIt should show your thinking. \n👨‍👩‍👦 A message for our Parents & Guardians \nDear Parents and Guardians\, \nSTEM Week is designed to give students an opportunity to experience learning beyond traditional classroom activities. \nWe encourage parents to support\, encourage and ask questions\, but allow students to take ownership of their ideas and projects. \nThe goal is not to create a perfect model with adult assistance. \nThe goal is to help children develop: \n✨ Critical thinking\n✨ Creativity\n✨ Problem-solving skills\n✨ Innovation\n✨ Research and investigation\n✨ Teamwork\n✨ Communication\n✨ Confidence\n✨ The ability to learn from failure and improve \nLet your child explore. \nLet them experiment. \nLet them make mistakes. \nMost importantly\, let them think. \nBecause the real achievement is not simply what a student makes. \nIt is what the student learns while making it.
