Mokammel Hoq is a Founder and Managing Director of iSTEM BD, a Director of Engineering and Construction in one of the leading UK FE Colleges and has over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles across 5 Educational Institutes.
He has established/founded a few other technical and vocational institutes, including the Aeronautical College of Bangladesh. He passionately believes in the ability of Education to help transform lives and communities. He has a proven record of working with employers and partners to support the wider region’s economic growth and development.
Mr Hoq is a Member of IfL, RAeS, IET and EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency – Form 4) Over the years, Mr Hoq has managed to complete a wide range of courses to strengthen his knowledge and skills, including Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management, Diploma in IQA, Diploma in EQA and MSc in Educational Leadership and Management from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Mr Hoq has held several roles within the FE sector, always focusing on quality improvement and assurance. Mr Hoq has several years’ experience delivering IQA training and staff development programmes and, as an External Verifier, has worked with centres nationally and internationally to monitor and improve TLA (Teaching, Learning and Assessment) standards.
